Whoo!! September is here, and soon the TV shows will be starting back up again... Personally I'm looking forward to Bones season 5 and Lie to Me season 2. Although, I heard some of the writers for Whendon's Dollhouse switched over to Lie to Me, so far Lie to Me's writing has been top notch, I hope they don't slack off and make it generic.
That's what I like about Bones, it actually has quite good writing.. I mean, how can they go wrong. They have the ultimate format, and it's actually gotten tighter over the years rather then degrading. The direction and cinematography have also improved greatly. And it doesn't take itself too seriously, that's one of the key points which makes it so watchable.
At this point I'd just like to make a disgruntled grumble about the cancellation of ABC's The Unusual's. Seriously, the cast lineup was great, the writing was fine. It could have been a bit tighter, but to keep Castle and lose The Unusual's ????? SERIOUSLY! WHAT WHERE YOU THINKING! Not that I mind Castle, it's fine... even funny at times. But truth be told, you just don't care about any of the characters enough. Guys, let us know about the hardships of the other cops he works with, and their personal lives and have Castle help them out once in a while. Or show how the "lady cop" *unmemorable name* bends over backwards for her team. Give us something more than Castle's banter with her, c'mon. It's getting cheap.
Oh, and any of you writers, feel free to contact me and get me on your team :p Although, it's probably not your fault. The producers are probably the ones calling the shots on the story lines, commercialization becomes sterilization. Imagine if District 9 were more interested in commercialization, and got Michael Bay to direct.... HAHAHAHAHAHA

Warehouse 13 Episode 5 " Burnout"
Ok, so I've been following this new series from SciFi (now SyFy)--I'll have to admit the writing is not that sophisticated, it's kind of like a Fringe wannabe but without the annoying underlying story which fringe is working towards. The two main characters are not very deep at all, the only thing that is underlying really is the girl's past where her partner(and fiancee) got shot on the job. Which I guess she is guilty about.
But overall, it's a good show. The idea is cool. I think they are beating around the bush a bit and could do a bit of a more engaging story. Like I said previously, it's a little bit too one dimensional. I mean, startgate was like this at first, they go do a mission run into trouble come back to square 1. But well, there was just a lot more drama that made it interesting.
Ehhem, anyway. I wasn't going to psycho analyze this when I first intended to post it up, so I'll stop here. It's worth a check out.
